The total number of sample space in two dice, n(S) = 6 x 6 = 36 Let E = Event of getting the numbers whose difference is 2 = {(1,3),(2,4),(3,5),(4,6),(3,1),(4,2),(5,3),(6,4)} ∴ n(E) = 8 \(\therefore\,P(E)=\frac{n(E)}{n(S)}=\frac{8}{36}=\frac{2}{9}\)
