The driving point impedance of an LC network is given by Z(s)=(s^4+4s^2+3)/(s^3+2s). By taking the continued fraction expansion using second Cauer form, find the value of L2. (a) 1/5 (b) 2/5 (c) 3/5 (d) 5/4 The question was posed to me by my college director while I was bunking the class. My query is from Synthesis of Reactive One-Ports by Cauer Method in chapter Elements of Realizability and Synthesis of One-Port Networks of Network Theory Select the correct answer from above options network theory questions and answers, network theory questions pdf, network theory question bank, network theory gate questions and answers pdf, mcq on network theory pdf, gate network theory questions and solutions, network theory mcq Test , ies network theory questions, Network theory Questions for GATE EC Exam, Network Theory MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions)

Correct option is (d) 5/4 To explain I would say: On taking the continued fraction expansion the second quotient is 4/5s. 1/sL2 = 4/5s So L2 = 5/4H.
